Inuyasha has become insanely popular in Japan and in the US. This wonderful, comic action / adventure created by Rumiko Takahashi fills just about any anime craver's appetite! If you like From Far Away, chances are that you'll come to love Inuyasha as well.

Kagome Higurashi is your average, straight-A school girl. She and her deeply spiritual grandfather, loving mother, and soccer-obsessed brother take care of and lives at the Higurashi Shrine. But Kagome's life takes an unexpected spin when she's pulled into the ancient well in the shrine by a demon, and she winds up in feudal Japan!

The Shikon no Tama was thought to have been lost 50 years ago when the priestess named Kikyo pinned the half-demon Inuyasha to a a tree with a sacred arrow. She took the jewel with her to her grave, forever guarding it and keeping its power at bay. But when the jewel turns up inside Kagome's body, a lot of questions are raised.

By accident, she awakens Inuyasha from his 50 year slumber, and when he sees the jewel, it becomes his goal to claim it for himself.

Ultimately, Kagome shatters the jewel with an arrow completely by accident, sending its shards all across Japan. Now Kagome and Inuyasha, with the help of a few friends, must gather all of the shards of the jewel before anyone or anything else does. The jewel must be whole again, for with just one shard, one's power can increase 100 fold!

Old rivalries, long lost hatred, and potential romance blossoms once more in this feudal fairy tale. And as time progresses, Kagome, Inuyasha, and their group of friends begin to realize just how difficult this journey will be...
