From Far Away

Okay, I admit it. I put this on my site simply because it is one of my most favorite manga of all time! It hasn't made itself very much known to the world of anime all though there are about 15 volumes released so far. From Far Away is aimed towards a feminine crowd with a taste for romance and some action / adventure. If you are into Inuyasha, From Far Away will fit nicely into that little empty slot on the shelf...

Currently, only the manga is available, the series having not yet been animated. However, the storyline is still so enjoyable and so ... fluffy ... that once you start reading, it will be impossible to simply stop or abandon the series!

Noriko Tachiki is just an ordinary high school girl ... until she finds herself suddenly transported to an entirely different world! She doesn't speak their language, follow their clothing style, or even eat the same food! The only person she thinks she can trust is Izark Kia Taj, the man who found her alone and took her under his wing ... And they're falling in love!

But Izark has a dark secret, and unbeknownst to Noriko, she is also harboring a secret of her own. Legend says the the Awakening will awaken the Sky Demon and unleash a terrible wrath upon the world. But who is the Awakening? Who is the Sky Demon? And why are all of these people after Noriko?!
