Full Metal Alchemist

One of the more popular anime, Full Metal Alchemist is suited for teens and up. It's action / adventure story line has just the right amount of drama in it to keep the viewer / reader entranced. Not to mention much of the well played comedy that plays into many of the equally well brought out scenes.

Edward and ALphonse Elric are brothers with a tragic childhood. Using alchemy, they attempt to bring back their dead mother. In doing so, Edward accidentally loses and arm and leg and Alphonse's body is lost! Now using a suit of armor for a body, he and Edward begin their search for the Philosopher's Stone, a stone that magnifies one's alchemic power. The number one rule of Alchemy is that in roder to gain something, something of equal value mut be exchanged. The Philosopher's Stone, however, nearly nullifies that law.

But Ed and Al aren't the only ones seeking the stone. Many more, unfriendly forces join the in the search. The brothers only wish to return what is theirs: an arm, a leg, and a body. Their enemies are after something different entirely!

Will the find the Philosopher's Stone? What is the secret of the Stone? And more importantly, are the rumors of the Stone's power true?
