Berserk

Berserk is an anime that would suit well for older teens. Rather than set around the Japanese traditions, Berkserk is set around a mideval European style. It is an action / adventure and romance story about three characters in general: Guts, Griffith, and Casca.

All though the anime more so centers around the story of Guts, it is Griffith, Casca and their band of mercinaries, the Band of the Hawks that sets the story in motion. With Griffith as their leader and head strategus, the Band of the Hawks has become a powerful force in this feudal world. Their powers have become legendary, even more so Griffith. Floating around the plot is a strong love triangle between Guts, Griffith, and Casca, the only female mercinary this world knows to be popular. Together, the three of them are nearly unstoppable, but this love triangle is what ultimately sets the Band of the Hawks' fate in motion...

Furthermore, what is the significance of these sparse and strong demons who fear the pendant around Griffith's neck? What is the importance of that pendant? If there truly is a god, then his wrath may have been set in motion in this world of simple men...
