Angel Sanctuary

Angel Sanctuary is an anime for more mature individuals. It is a romantic drama with a few scenes of comedy thrown in, and the story is very well told. Setsuna and his sister Sera are in love, and their parents greatly disapprove of this incest. All though this is heart of the plot, Setsuna -- unbeknownst to him -- is the reincarnation of the powerful angel Alexiel ... And he's now found himself stuck in the middle between a ravenous war between Heaven and Hell!

It is only after Sera is murdered that Alexiel's powers and presence begin to show in Setsuna. This new development is to the great joy of Rosiel, Alexiel's twin brother and the antagonist of the story: the ruler of Heaven. He had also harbored a very deep caring for his sister Alexiel, and when she didn't return his love, he grew insanely jealous. The following and unfolding events are all part of his plan...
